The Farm
Finca Un Regalo de Dios, nestled in the Dipilto-Jalapa mountain range of Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, spans 179 acres, with 130 dedicated to coffee, flourishing at elevations between 1,350 and 1,800 meters above sea level. Under the expert care of renowned producer Luis Alberto, the farm benefits from ideal growing conditions, with cool temperatures ranging from 50 to 60°F and a rich, biodiverse environment. This combination of altitude, climate, and expertise results in the cultivation of exceptional coffee varieties, including Red and Yellow Catuai, Pacamara, Maracaturra, Java, Bourbon, SL-34, Catimore, and hybrids.
The Process
After careful cherry picking, the cherries are dried on African beds for 25-30 days, allowing their unique flavors to develop. Luis’s exceptional craftsmanship has earned him numerous Cup of Excellence accolades, including 6th place in 2023, 3rd place in 2022, and 1st place in 2020.
