Sourced from family-owned farms nestled within the picturesque Nebilyer Valley, located in the Tambul-Nebilyer District of Papua New Guinea, this exceptional coffee is a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of local coffee producers. Each farmer cultivates their coffee on just 1 to 2 hectares of land. The coffee is then delivered to the renowned Kuta Mill, a coffee processing facility with over four decades of experience. There it is fully washed and sun-dried on patios.
Situated between the Ulga and Kolga tribes, the Kuta mill has not only perfected the art of coffee processing but has also bridged cultural divides by fostering unity among traditionally conflicted tribal communities. Moreover, in recognition of their unwavering commitment to delivering quality cherries, mill owner Brian Leahy rewards farmers with bonus payments after each harvest to those that consistently produce high quality coffees.
