The dry fragrance is complex/floral with some beautiful bass qualities. Wet aromatics bring strong jasmine along with a variety of floral, tea-like notes that remind me of the boiling wort of an English Ale a few minutes after the hops are added. There is an underlying sweetness that anchors the aroma and transitions directly into the the flavors which are as advertised with tea rose, jasmine and sweet orange just exploding from the cup (watch out!). Unfamiliar with English Lavender so can't say but certainly don't feel like anything is missing. Has a bright acidity that is well balanced with sweetness and a dry finish that lingers along with the bass notes. This coffee, like everything from the Mudhouse, feels very intentional and well executed in every way. Can't wait for the next crop!
