Drawing on ancestral influences which originate with my ethnic background, most of my paintings are
created with spontaneity. Grasping the moment and creating a painting or collage using color and various
techiniques to share my excitement and anticipation of future work. My subject matter includes views of
human condition and abstract painting concentrating on colors and shapes, as I see it, “taking my music
to the canvas” I have studied and performed West African percussion for many years. My art has become a
natural outlet for me to carry on the excitement and experimentation I have always found in my music.
