Artists - Those Outside The Box

Most likely, you already know about Daryl Rose and his amazing performances of traditional African percussion.  But have you seen his artwork?

Chicho’s Oil & Acrylic works depict the emotional interplay between two people through the phases of a relationship.

This series of abstract painting is, as many are, an attempt to produce a representative image of internal chaos: to create something without basis in previous visual reference that is still effective in communicating a mood.  I wish to visually engage the viewer, rather than over explain or direct what they should be seeing.  I look at my pieces as an emotional emanation; mental pools flowing from one image to the next.
